Wanna Buy a Dress?

I've been sewing like crazy lately. I just love it. I can't get enough of it. I've been making these little dresses, but other stuff too. It's in my blood or something. M asked me the other day if she has to wear dresses all summer. So I have to start making them for other people. I'm trying to decide whether they're cute enough to sell--and whether I could make enough money to make it worth it. I guess it would be worth it just 'cause I like to make them. I'm not sure what it is . . .

India Baby Quilt

I made this baby quilt for a friend who spent most of her pregnancy in India. This is their third child--a girl (though someone assumed the baby was a boy when they saw the quilt. Do you think it looks like a boy quilt?). Thus the 5 elephants--Dad, Mom, 2 brothers and a baby sister. I love how it turned out--except for the sun. Not sure I like the yellow stitching inside. But the other 3 people I polled liked it better. I would leave it out next time--or maybe I'll even take it out.

Mousies

Not as cute as it could be 'cause I just used colors I already had. But cute enough. It's from Zoe Mellor's book Knitted Toys. I love her stuff and am almost done with a monkey from the same book.

I stuffed it with yarn scraps and a jingle bell, which jingles very softly--the perfect church toy. It's off to my sister Julie, who is the former owner of many a pet rat and is the current some-time care giver of her first grandchild. Weird.

M's princess costume. I traded out the lace at the elbows for an off white after Halloween was over. Plus I replaced all the safety pins with seams and snaps:)

Marine Iguana

Marine iguana costume for H's Animals's Thanksgiving Play. Not such great pictures, but it was a pretty fab costume. My favorite part--easy. Oh, and I had a great idea for the face--tulle. So he can see out, but it looks (sorta) like a total mask.
