H's Summer PJs

I finished one pair of PJs for H. I think I'll just do one or two more pair of shorts and let them do the rest of the T-shirts. I actually traced/drew this General Grievous, but I originally bought the T-shirts (3.99 at Joann's) and fabric markers as a craft for the kids. Maybe I'll do an iron on transfer for the others--but H loved this one. He helped me color it.

Holy Cows

I just listed a few of the items I want to make, have begun, or have purchased something towards beginning. The written list is long--the mental one even longer. Like I'm really going to make all this stuff. But I want to. I love to make things.

I saw some really cute skirts on Etsy and thought I'd give some a try. This is the first--and hopefully the worst--the skirt is too long and the band at the bottom too short. But I just woke up one rainy morning and started sewing. I thought the fabric was cute for Joann's--and only like $3 a yard or something. The fringe cost more then the rest of the skirt, but I think it's cute.

I couldn't get the camera to focus on the sock in the brown background picture. I also only have one sock because I already gave its mate to my friend--but the girls had walked off with this one, so I had to gift them separately.

First Pair

I'm totally into knitting again lately. I'm working on a sweater for E, but in the meantime I started making little socks. They're fun and fast and soo cute. This is the first pair. I still need to take a picture of the second pair, which is in a great yarn. I made this pair for a friend for her baby's blessing (but really Amy, NO PRESSURE).

Happy Valentines

The first inspiration for this wreath was on my friend's door. Then I saw a jazzier version on a shop door--in very pale blue. I love it. I think it turned out great even if my neighbor across the street says it looks like a donut from her house. It just felt so nice to make something--and after I decided on the color, it only took about 5 minutes to make. I'm not in love with this ribbon--I had a better color ribbon on first, but it wasn't long enough or wide enough. And I don't like the bow at the top, but it was the easiest way to hang it (I initially had the ribbon hanging over the top of the door so the ribbon was just flat all the way up. I like it that way better, but I had to gerryrig it to keep it hanging and blah blah blah).
